How it Works
Somewhere near the kitchen table (ours are lined up on a window sill) are a dozen or so cups, each with a theme: arts, math, writing, reading etc. The schedule, posted nearby, is broken into clear blocks that mimic Parker’s day at school (with some convenient independent play during important meetings).
Within each block are two themes that Parker can choose from. He chooses one theme and pulls a pre-written activity from its respective cup. Each day I may remove or add some activities from each cups depending on my own availability.
Lindsay and I later added some cards to show which parent is the go-to at any given moment.
Since some friend have asked for the print-outs, I thought I would share them here for everyone to make use of.
Have fun and good luck out there : )
Oh yeah! Click here to share an activity idea. I’ll periodically add them to the template cards.
